Lifetouch Photographers will be on campus for Fall picture day Wednesday, September 2nd.  All Students will have their picture taken during their PE Class.  Student ID's will be produced for all students.  Picture packages are produced on a pre-order, pre-paid basis only.  If you would like to purchase a picture package, please be sure to send your order and payment in the Lifetouch envelope with your student on picture day.  Your student will give the order to the photographer when their picture is taken.   If you didn't receive the order form during registration, additional forms are available in the front office. 

Back to School Night is Thursday,  September 3rd.  Please join Mrs. Ward at 6:45pm in the MPR for a brief welcome and overview.  Beginning at 7:00pm you will have the opportunity to meet each of your student's teachers for an snapshot of the year planned ahead.  Your student will bring home a yellow handout they are to  complete during Advisory Class on Wednesday.  This will have your student's schedule (completed by the student) on one side, and a map of the school on the reverse.  Please ask your student for this on Wednesday night!

You will spend 10 minutes in each class with a 5 minute passing period to the next class.  Due to the structure of the evening, there is not enough time for individual discussions with teachers.  However, they will all provide contact information within their presentation on how best to reach them, should you desire to do so.

An informational meeting open to 7th & 8th Grade parents interested in the Washington DC spring break trip starts at 6:00pm in the Library before Back to School Night begins.  Note:  This trip is an independent activity and is not sponsored by the San Valley Unified School District. 

The Flag Football and Cross Country Seasons will be  announced during lunch on this week.   This year brings a new district policy requiring some new forms with the Permission slip.   Students will not be permitted to practice without the completed, required forms on file  .   If your student is interested in participating, have them see Mr. Chamberlain with any questions they might have.  First practice is Tuesday, September 8th, immediately afterschool.  Signed permission slips must be in the coaches' possession prior to beginning practice.  Click here to download, review and complete policy and forms.  In our effort to save money and resources, we  respectfully ask that you download the forms, however, we will have a limited number of copies for those without Internet access. 

Please don't order or renew your magazine subscriptions.  The Magazine/Gift Drive, the only school wide fund raiser we plan for the year, kicks off on Thursday, September 10th with an assembly for the students.   Our goal this year is $45,000 in sales.  The school's profit is 50%.  The funds raised will help to support Gale Ranch's extra-curricular activities.  Prizes at all levels of participation.  We are shooting for 100% participation!  Start your holiday shopping early!!

Our library is open to students  Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 3:30pm ... Friday 8:00am - 2:45pm
