Gale Ranch News

Back to school night is tonight .. Join us at 6:45p in the MPR for a principal’s welcome and introduction of new staff members. Then go through your student’s schedule and hear what your student’s teachers have planned for the year.  Your student should have come home with a yellow sheet of paper listing their classes on one side and a map on the other. Hope to see you here! Click here to download a blank schedule and map from our website

Safety & Security on Campus

Drop and Pick Up times are becoming a safety hazard to your students. Please drive slowly, follow directions of the staff directing traffic and enter and exit the area with care! We have had several near misses between drivers and students. Everyone is responsible for keeping the kids safe. Please remind your walking, bike and scooter riding students to be mindful of the cars as well. They are not to cross any of the streets except at crosswalks! They are responsible for following the laws too! Thank you for helping to keep our children safe!
A reminder that Gale Ranch is a closed, secure campus.  All visitors (including volunteers) must check in at the front office and receive a visitor's badge/pass prior to entering the campus proper.  Thank you for helping us keep our campus safe for all.
Bike/Scooter/Skateboard Racks
The bike rack area is for the student’s use and must be used to lock up their vehicles. Scooters and skateboards must be locked in the special rack .. or placed in the center racks, away from the fences.  (skateboards and scooters can fit through the bars and damage the bars as well.)  We do our best to help keep these safe, however, the school is not responsible in the event of loss or damage to these items.
School Loop
Schoolloop, the automated assignment, grading and communication system is up and running. Returning students and parents can access their accounts using the same information as last year. New students will be registering during science classes. Parents, please register yourself by going to www.grms.schoolloop.com and follow  the directions to register as a parent.   You will need your student’s id number to complete the registration. For security reasons we cannot give out this number on the telephone or via email. Your student should have the number memorized, so please ask. If your student does not know the number, either he/she or you may come into the office to obtain it.
Afterschool Activities
The afterschool activities are beginning. Please check this area of the Gazette to see what’s happening.   Also check with your student, announcements are made during lunch and advisory to keep everyone well informed.   We will attempt to keep our website up to date with information as well.
The district has instituted a new policy requiring strict adherence to forms completion. Notice that an activity is to begin will be given to students via an announcement at lunch and will also be printed in this newsletter prior to the start. The forms and sports schedules are located on our website and can be downloaded and completed as appropriate. Our website is www.grms.srvusd.net

School Lunches & Mealtime
Our food services staff will once again be planning and preparing nutritious and appetizing lunches.  Once the menus have been planned, you will be able to access the menu on the Gale Ranch website.   The price for the complete lunch is $4.00 this year and all meals include an entree, choice of milk, fresh and canned fruits and vegetables from the salad bar.

This year we are striving to have a cashless operation in the cafeteria. This is possible with the Mealtime lunch system. Money is simply deposited into your student’s account and they can then purchase lunch using their student id. You can deposit via the website or simply bring a check made out to SRVUSD into the office and it will be deposited into your student’s account.
